Runway Lighting

Taxiway & Guidance

  • Are taxiway edge (blue) and centerline (green) lights operational? *
  • Are stop bars and runway guard lights functioning where installed?
  • Are lighted guidance/mandatory-hold signs legible and correctly illuminated? *

Approach & Visual Slope Aids

  • Is the PAPI/VASI operating with correct light-signal aiming and color transition? *
  • Are approach lighting systems (ALS/REIL) functional where installed?
  • Is the rotating beacon and wind cone lighting operational?

Electrical & Controls

  • Are constant-current regulators cycling correctly through brightness steps? *
  • Is the airfield lighting control/monitoring system reporting circuit status?
  • Is emergency/standby power for lighting tested and functional? *
  • Findings and corrective actions
