Facility Documentation & Legal

Does the farm hold valid operating permits, licenses, and land/water tenure documentation? *
Is a site map and record system maintained for ponds, cages, or tanks and stocking data? *
Is a traceability system in place linking harvested product to production units and inputs? *

Environmental Management

Is effluent water quality monitored and managed within permitted or standard limits? *
Are mangroves, wetlands, and other sensitive habitats protected and not converted for the facility? *
Are sediment, sludge, and mortalities disposed of by approved methods? *
Is escape prevention implemented to protect wild populations and biodiversity? *

Animal Health & Welfare

Is a fish health management plan implemented under veterinary or qualified supervision? *
Are veterinary drugs and antibiotics used only as prescribed, with records and withdrawal periods observed? *
Are stocking densities and water quality managed to support animal welfare? *

Food Safety & Feed

Is feed sourced from approved suppliers, with marine ingredients from responsible fisheries where required? *
Are prohibited substances and banned antibiotics excluded from the operation? *
Are harvest and handling practices controlled to prevent contamination and maintain the cold chain? *

Social Responsibility

Is child labor prohibited and are minimum-age requirements verified for all workers? *
Are workers free from forced labor, with fair wages, working hours, and grievance mechanisms? *
Are worker safety, sanitation, and housing (where provided) compliant with standards? *
