FSMS Context & Leadership (ISO 22000 Cl. 4-5)

  • Are internal and external issues and interested parties determined for the FSMS scope? *
  • Is the food safety policy established and communicated by top management? *
  • Is a food safety team leader appointed with defined responsibilities? *

Prerequisite Programs (ISO/TS 22002-1)

  • Are PRPs established covering construction, layout, utilities, and waste per the sector spec? *
  • Is equipment suitability, cleaning, and maintenance managed as a PRP? *
  • Is personnel hygiene and facilities managed as a documented PRP? *

Hazard Control & Operation (ISO 22000 Cl. 8)

  • Is a hazard analysis conducted and control measures categorized as CCPs or OPRPs? *
  • Are critical limits and action criteria validated before implementation? *
  • Is a traceability system established and verified? *
  • Are emergency preparedness and response procedures documented? *

FSSC Additional Requirements (v6)

  • Is a food fraud vulnerability assessment and mitigation plan in place? *
  • Is a food defense threat assessment and mitigation plan documented? *
  • Is an environmental monitoring program defined for the relevant categories? *
  • Are food safety and quality culture objectives established and measured? *
  • Are food loss and waste, and equipment/logo use requirements addressed? *

Performance Evaluation & Improvement (ISO 22000 Cl. 9-10)

  • Is an internal audit program planned and executed across the FSMS? *
  • Is a management review conducted with required inputs and outputs? *
  • Are nonconformities and corrective actions managed with root cause analysis? *
