Wall Cladding and Trim
- Cladding type identified and free of significant damage, rot, or deterioration *
- Penetrations, joints, and sealant are intact to resist water intrusion *
- Trim, fascia, soffit, and eaves are sound and painted/sealed *
Windows and Doors
- A representative number of exterior windows and doors were operated *
- Weatherstripping, flashing, and caulking are adequate at openings *
- No failed insulated-glass seals or damaged glazing observed
Decks, Porches, and Attached Structures
- Deck/porch ledger, posts, and framing are properly attached and structurally sound *
- Guards and handrails are present at required heights and are secure *
- Stairs, treads, and landings are safe and free of trip hazards *
- Photo of deck/porch attachment and any deficiency
Grading, Drainage, and Site
- Grade slopes away from the foundation on all sides *
- Downspouts and surface drainage direct water away from the structure *
- Driveways, walkways, and retaining walls are free of significant damage or hazards *
- Vegetation is clear of the structure and roof
