Terminations and Clearances
- Cladding maintains proper clearance above grade and hardscape *
- Termination at roof-to-wall, decks, and dissimilar materials is flashed and back-wrapped *
- Weep screed or drainage track is present and unobstructed (drainable systems) *
- Kickout flashing is present at roof-wall intersections *
Penetrations and Sealant Joints
- Windows, doors, and penetrations are sealed with backer rod and compatible sealant *
- No failed, cracked, or missing sealant at penetrations *
- Utility penetrations, lights, and hose bibbs are properly flashed and sealed *
- Expansion joints are present where required by wall length or substrate change
Surface Condition
- No cracking, delamination, bulging, or impact damage in the finish coat *
- No staining, efflorescence, or biological growth indicating moisture intrusion *
- Finish coat adhesion sounds sound (no hollow areas) when tapped
- Photo of representative wall areas and any defect
Moisture Assessment
- Moisture probe reading at highest-risk penetration (% or scale value)
- Elevated moisture detected behind the cladding *
