- Flue is free of blockages, debris, or animal nests *
Firebox and Connections
- Firebox, damper, and smoke chamber are intact and operable *
- Required clearances to combustibles are maintained at the fireplace/appliance *
- Gas appliance connection and venting are proper with no evidence of back-drafting
- Hearth extension meets the required dimensions for the appliance
