- Are measures in place to avoid controversial sources and fiber from illegal logging? *
- Is the legal right to harvest verified for the sources of procured fiber? *
Logger and Professional Training
- Do wood producers and loggers supplying the organization have access to and use trained logging professionals? *
- Are use of best management practices (BMPs) for water quality promoted among wood producers? *
- Are records of trained logging professionals used by wood suppliers maintained? *
Biodiversity and Special Sites
- Are landowners provided information promoting biodiversity, conservation of critical wildlife habitat, and imperiled species? *
- Are forests with exceptional conservation value and sites of special significance identified and addressed? *
- Is support provided for research and conservation of biological diversity in the fiber sourcing area? *
Landowner Outreach and Tracking
- Is a landowner outreach program in place to promote sustainable forestry practices? *
- Is fiber sourced from certified and non-certified lands tracked and reported through the required calculations? *
- Percentage of procured fiber volume sourced from certified lands in the reporting period.
