Setup & Equipment
- Structure / deck section ID *
- Date of survey *
- Is a copper-copper sulfate (or equivalent) reference electrode used and calibrated? *
- Is a direct electrical connection to the reinforcing steel established? *
Surface Conditioning & Grid
- Is a measurement grid (typ. 2-4 ft spacing) laid out and referenced? *
- Is the concrete surface pre-wetted to ensure electrical continuity? *
- Grid spacing used (feet)
- Are surface conditions (temperature, moisture) recorded?
Measurements
- Are potential readings recorded at each grid node? *
- Most negative measured potential (mV vs CSE)
- Are readings more negative than -350 mV (>90% probability of corrosion) mapped? *
- Percent of readings indicating high corrosion probability (%)
Interpretation & Actions
- Are potential contours consistent with delamination/chloride data where available?
- Is supplemental testing (chloride content, resistivity, cover survey) recommended?
- Findings and recommended actions
