Compatibility and Planning
- Is the shore supply voltage, frequency, and capacity confirmed compatible with the vessel's shore power system? *
- Is a connection procedure and risk assessment agreed between the ship and the shore facility? *
- Enter the shore supply voltage in kilovolts to be connected.
Connection and Earthing
- Are the shore power cables and connectors inspected and free of damage before connection? *
- Is protective earthing (equipotential bonding) established before energizing the high-voltage connection? *
- Are safety interlocks confirmed to prevent connection or disconnection under load? *
- Is the connection area barriered and marked, with only authorized high-voltage personnel present? *
Load Transfer and Operation
- Is the load transferred from ship generators to shore supply without interruption to essential services? *
- Are ship generators stopped and confirmed off-load once the shore supply carries the load, where intended? *
- Are electrical parameters monitored during shore power operation for stability and faults? *
Disconnection
- Is the load transferred back to ship generators before disconnecting the shore supply? *
- Is the high-voltage system confirmed de-energized and isolated before cables are physically disconnected? *
