Source Equipment

  • Are medical gas source systems (bulk oxygen, manifolds, medical air compressors) maintained and inspected per schedule? *
  • Is the medical air compressor system tested for dew point and carbon monoxide within limits? *
  • Is the bulk oxygen supply secured, with required separation distances and signage? *

Alarms & Monitoring

  • Are master alarm panels functioning at two locations continuously monitored by staff? *
  • Are area (local) alarms provided for critical care and anesthetizing locations and tested? *
  • Are alarm signals tested at least annually and documented? *

Zone Valves & Distribution

  • Are shutoff/zone valves labeled with the gas served and the area/room controlled? *
  • Are zone valves accessible and not obstructed for emergency shutoff? *

Outlets & Documentation

  • Are station outlets/inlets tested for flow, gas-specific indexing, and leaks? *
  • Is verification testing performed by a qualified party after any system alteration before patient use? *
  • Are inspection, testing, and maintenance records retained and available for survey? *
