Quality System Baseline (AC7004)
- Is a quality system meeting the AC7004 baseline (or accredited AS9100/ISO 9001 certification) in place? *
- Is the scope of special processes to be accredited (e.g., heat treat, NDT, chem processing, welding, coatings) clearly defined? *
- Are the applicable Nadcap audit criteria checklists (AC/slash sheets) obtained for the relevant commodity? *
Process Specification Compliance
- Are the customer and prime specifications flowed down and current for each special process? *
- Are process parameters (time, temperature, concentration, etc.) controlled and recorded per specification? *
- Is pyrometry/instrumentation compliance demonstrated where applicable (e.g., AMS2750 for heat treat)?
Self-Audit & Job Audits
- Has a self-audit been completed against the applicable Nadcap checklist prior to the audit? *
- Have representative jobs/parts been selected to demonstrate end-to-end process compliance (job audits)? *
- Are objective evidence and traveler records available to trace each job through the process? *
Personnel Qualification & Records
- Are operators and inspectors qualified/certified for the special process (e.g., NAS410 for NDT)? *
- Is equipment calibration current and traceable for all process-critical instruments? *
- Is a corrective action process ready to address audit findings within the required timeframe? *
