Impartiality & Confidentiality (Cl. 4)

  • Are laboratory activities undertaken impartially, with risks to impartiality identified and managed? *
  • Is information obtained or created during laboratory activities managed as confidential? *
  • Is the laboratory structure defined with management and technical responsibilities and authorities? *

Resources & Competence (Cl. 6)

  • Is personnel competence established, including education, training, and authorization records? *
  • Are facilities and environmental conditions suitable and monitored where they affect results? *
  • Is equipment calibrated, and is metrological traceability of measurement results established? *
  • Are externally provided products and services controlled? *

Methods, Validation & Uncertainty (Cl. 7)

  • Are appropriate methods selected, verified, or validated for the intended use? *
  • Is measurement uncertainty evaluated for calibration and, where relevant, testing activities? *
  • Where sampling is performed, is a documented sampling plan and method used? *
  • Is the validity of results assured through quality control and participation in proficiency testing? *

Reporting & Management System (Cl. 7-8)

  • Do reports include the required elements and, where applicable, statements of conformity with the decision rule? *
  • Is nonconforming work identified and controlled? *
  • Are internal audits and management reviews conducted per the management system requirements? *
