Competence Determination (Cl. 7.2)
- Has the necessary competence been determined for persons whose work affects QMS performance? *
- Are these persons competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, or experience? *
- Where competence gaps exist, are actions taken (training, mentoring, reassignment) and their effectiveness evaluated? *
- Is documented information retained as evidence of competence? *
Training Records

- Are job-specific training requirements defined and up to date? *
- Date of most recent competence review
- Are training records complete and retrievable? *
Awareness (Cl. 7.3)
- Are persons aware of the quality policy? *
- Are persons aware of relevant quality objectives? *
- Are persons aware of their contribution to QMS effectiveness and the benefits of improved performance? *
- Are persons aware of the implications of not conforming to QMS requirements? *
Effectiveness & Continual Development
- Is the effectiveness of training and competence actions evaluated (e.g. on-the-job assessment)? *
- Is a training needs analysis performed when roles, processes, or technology change? *
- Are competence requirements reflected in role descriptions and periodically reviewed? *
