Leadership & Worker Participation (Cl. 5)

  • Does top management take overall responsibility for preventing work-related injury and ill health? *
  • Is an OH&S policy established that includes a commitment to eliminate hazards and reduce OH&S risks? *
  • Are processes for consultation and participation of workers (and their representatives) established? *

Hazard ID & Risk Assessment (Cl. 6.1.2)

  • Is there an ongoing, proactive process to identify hazards, including routine and non-routine activities? *
  • Are OH&S risks and other risks to the OH&S system assessed? *
  • Are legal and other requirements determined and access maintained? *

Operational Control & Hierarchy of Controls (Cl. 8.1)

  • Are operational controls established and implemented to eliminate hazards or reduce OH&S risks? *
  • Is the hierarchy of controls applied (elimination, substitution, engineering, administrative, PPE)? *
  • Is management of change controlled for new or changed processes and equipment? *

Emergency Preparedness (Cl. 8.2)
