Aspect Identification (Cl. 6.1.2)

  • Are environmental aspects determined for activities, products, and services the organization can control or influence? *
  • Is a lifecycle perspective applied when identifying aspects? *
  • Are aspects considered under normal, abnormal, and emergency (reasonably foreseeable) conditions? *

Impact Evaluation

  • Is each aspect linked to its associated environmental impact(s)? *

  • Are changes, including planned or new developments, considered for their aspects and impacts? *

Significance Determination

  • Are documented criteria established for determining significant environmental aspects? *
  • Are significant aspects communicated among the various levels and functions of the organization? *
  • Is documented information on aspects, impacts, and significance criteria maintained? *

Linkage to Objectives & Controls

  • Are significant aspects considered when setting environmental objectives? *
  • Are operational controls established for significant aspects? *
  • Are significant aspects considered in the determination of risks and opportunities?
