Identifying Compliance Obligations (Cl. 6.1.3)
- Are compliance obligations related to environmental aspects determined and documented? *
- Does the organization have access to its compliance obligations (register or equivalent)? *
- Are both legal requirements and other requirements (e.g., voluntary commitments, permits) included? *
- Is a process in place to identify changes to compliance obligations? *
Applying Obligations
- Is it determined how compliance obligations apply to the organization's activities? *
- Are compliance obligations taken into account in establishing and maintaining the EMS? *
- Are permit limits and conditions translated into operational controls and monitoring? *
Evaluation of Compliance (Cl. 9.1.2)
- Is the frequency and method for evaluating compliance determined? *
- Is compliance evaluated and action taken if needed? *
- Is knowledge and understanding of the compliance status maintained? *
- Date of last compliance evaluation
Nonconformity & Records
- Are compliance nonconformities addressed through the corrective action process? *
- Is documented information retained as evidence of the compliance evaluation results? *
- Are compliance evaluation results reported to management review?
