Management & Personnel

  • Is the welding system assessment completed annually and endorsed by management? *
  • Are welders/operators certified/qualified for the process, and are records current? *
  • Are job audits performed to confirm parts meet the applicable specification and control plan? *

Weld Process Control

  • Are approved weld schedules/procedures (WPS) available and followed for each joint? *
  • Are key parameters (current, time, force/pressure, wire feed, gas flow) monitored and within limits? *
  • Are electrode/tip dressing, stepper programs, and consumable controls managed? *
  • Are reaction plans defined for parameter drift or weld faults? *

Equipment & Maintenance

  • Is preventive maintenance and calibration performed on welding equipment and monitors? *
  • Are fixtures and locating devices verified for wear and correct part positioning? *

Weld Quality Verification

  • Are destructive tests (peel, chisel, tensile, cross-section) performed at required frequency with acceptance criteria? *
  • Are nondestructive checks (visual, dimensional) documented for production welds? *
  • Record weld cell/station ID and joints assessed
