Accreditation & Scope
- Is the laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by a recognized accreditation body (ILAC MRA signatory)? *
- Does the accreditation scope explicitly cover the measurement parameters, ranges, and instruments you use? *
- Is the accreditation current (not expired or suspended)? *
Traceability & Uncertainty
- Is metrological traceability to the SI (via a national metrology institute) documented on calibration certificates? *
- Do certificates report measurement uncertainty and the coverage factor (k)? *
- Is a decision rule for statements of conformity (pass/fail) documented and agreed? *
- Is the calibration and measurement capability (CMC) adequate for your accuracy ratio (e.g., 4:1 TUR) needs? *
Service, Records & Approval
- Are turnaround time, on-site vs ship-in options, and expedite terms acceptable? *
- Does the lab notify you of out-of-tolerance findings to support your recall/impact evaluation? *
- Has the lab been added to the approved external provider list with defined re-evaluation criteria? *
- Record accreditation certificate number and expiry date
