Casing Design & Setting Depth
- Was casing setting depth selected to isolate all usable-quality water zones and abnormal-pressure intervals per the approved well plan? *
- Is each casing string rated for the maximum anticipated collapse, burst, and tension loads with the required design safety factors? *
- Are casing tally, drift, and thread inspection records documented before running the string? *
- Record the surface casing setting depth (ft). *
Cement Slurry Design & Placement
- Was the cement slurry designed and laboratory-tested for the anticipated bottomhole temperature, pressure, and fluid compatibility? *
- Is the calculated cement volume sufficient to achieve the required top-of-cement height above the shallowest hydrocarbon or protected water zone? *
- Were centralizers spaced to achieve minimum standoff across critical isolation intervals? *
- Were float equipment, spacers, and mud conditioning used to promote effective mud removal and cement placement? *
Barrier Evaluation & Testing
- Was a cement bond / evaluation log run or an alternate zonal-isolation verification performed after cementing? *
- Did the casing pressure test meet the required test pressure and duration without unacceptable pressure loss? *
- Was cement returned to surface (or the shoe-track cement top confirmed) as required by the well design? *
- Are two independent tested barriers confirmed between hydrocarbon zones and the environment? *
Documentation & Annular Monitoring
- Are cementing job records, pump charts, and returns volumes retained in the well file? *
- Is a program in place to monitor and manage sustained casing/annular pressure over the life of the well? *
- Are wellhead and casing-head seal assemblies verified for pressure integrity after installation? *
