Line Preparation & Cleaning
- Has line cleanliness been established with cleaning pig runs before the inline inspection tool is run? *
- Have pipeline diameter changes, tight bends, and valve bore restrictions been verified to pass the selected tool? *
- Is a gauging or geometry pig run performed to confirm passage before the ILI tool? *
Launcher & Receiver Safety
- Is the pig trap depressurized, vented, and drained before the closure is opened? *
- Is the pressure-relieving and interlock system on the trap closure verified operational? *
- Are personnel positioned clear of the trap closure and end-cap discharge path during launch and receipt? *
Tool Run & Tracking
- Was the ILI tool type (MFL, UT, geometry) selected appropriate to the anticipated threats (metal loss, cracking, dents)? *
- Are above-ground markers and tracking used to confirm tool location and velocity during the run? *
- Was flow velocity maintained within the tool's specified operating range? *
Data Validation & Integrity Action
- Was the ILI data validated against known features and verified for adequate coverage and sensor performance? *
- Were reported anomalies assessed against remaining-strength criteria to determine repair or reinspection response? *
- Are dig verifications performed to confirm tool sizing accuracy where warranted? *
