Traffic Management Plan
- Is a documented traffic management plan in place defining haul routes, right-of-way, speed limits, and separation of light vehicles from heavy equipment? *
- Are roadways, intersections, and dump points signed, illuminated, and berbed as required? *
- Are designated parking and safe-standing areas established away from operating equipment paths? *
Proximity Detection & Awareness Systems
- Are mobile machines equipped with proximity detection or collision awareness systems appropriate to the interaction risk (Level 7-9 intervention where required)? *
- Are cameras, radar, or object-detection systems fitted to reduce blind spots on large haul trucks and loaders? *
- Are proximity and detection systems tested and verified functional before the shift? *
Operator Controls & Communication
- Is positive communication (radio protocol, right-of-way rules) required before a light vehicle approaches or passes heavy equipment? *
- Are operators trained on blind-spot zones and required to make eye contact or receive acknowledgment before moving? *
- Are seatbelt use and reverse alarms verified operational on mobile equipment? *
