Metering & Proving

  • Is the custody transfer meter proved at the required frequency against a certified prover? *
  • Do the latest proving runs meet the required repeatability and meter-factor tolerance? *
  • Record the current meter factor from the latest proving report. *
  • Are prover and master-meter calibration certificates current and traceable? *

Sampling & Quality Determination

  • Is an automatic sampler collecting a representative composite sample proportional to flow? *
  • Is the sediment and water (S&W / BS&W) content determined and applied to net volume calculations? *
  • Are the sampler grab rate and sample-loop mixing verified to ensure representative sampling? *
  • Is the BS&W monitor calibrated and set to divert or alarm off-spec crude above the sales limit? *

Temperature, Pressure & Volume Correction

  • Are temperature and pressure at the meter recorded for correction to standard conditions? *
  • Is API gravity determined and used with correct correction factors in the net standard volume calculation? *
  • Are volume calculations performed and rounded per API MPMS Chapter 12 procedures? *

Ticketing, Seals & Records

  • Are custody transfer (run) tickets generated with opening/closing meter readings, meter factor, and quality data? *
  • Are meter, prover connections, and sampler seals intact with a documented seal log? *
  • Are measurement records retained to support royalty reporting and audit requirements? *
