  • Are environmental values (water, soil, ecosystems) and associated impacts assessed and maintained? *
  • Are High Conservation Values identified, and are management strategies implemented to maintain or enhance them? *
  • Are conversion of natural forest and use of prohibited chemicals/GMOs avoided per FSC requirements? *

Implementation and Monitoring

  • Are management activities implemented consistent with economic, environmental, and social policies and objectives? *
  • Is monitoring conducted to evaluate progress toward objectives, condition of the forest, and management activities? *
  • Are outcomes of monitoring used to implement adaptive management? *
