EUDR Deforestation Due Diligence Checklist
Verify due diligence for placing relevant commodities and products on the EU market under the EU Deforestation Regulation.

Scope and Due Diligence System
- Have the relevant commodities and products in scope (cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya, wood and derived products) been identified? *
- Is a documented due diligence system established, maintained, and reviewed at least annually? *
- Is the operator's or trader's role (operator, non-SME trader) determined for obligations? *
Information Collection
- Are geolocation coordinates (polygons where applicable) collected for all plots of land where the commodities were produced? *
- Is the date or time range of production recorded for each plot? *
- Is supplier and country of production information (including any partner countries) documented? *
Deforestation-Free and Legality Verification
- Is it verified that the commodities are deforestation-free (produced on land not subject to deforestation after 31 December 2020)? *
- Is it verified that production complied with the relevant legislation of the country of production? *
- Is documentary evidence of legality (land use rights, environmental, labour, human rights, tax) retained? *
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
- Is a risk assessment conducted using the required criteria, including the country benchmarking risk level? *
- Where non-negligible risk is identified, are risk mitigation measures applied until risk is negligible? *
- Are risk assessment and mitigation procedures documented and available to competent authorities on request? *
Due Diligence Statement and Records
- Is a due diligence statement submitted via the EU information system before placing products on the market? *
- Are due diligence records and statements retained for at least five years? *
- Date of the most recent due diligence system review. *
