Harvest & Vessel Data
- Is the harvesting vessel or aquaculture facility identified with its authorization/license and flag state on the catch record? *
- Are species (with scientific name), catch area/FAO zone, gear type, and date of harvest recorded? *
- Is the point of first landing or transshipment documented with quantity harvested? *
Catch Certificate & Legality
- Is a validated catch certificate or catch document issued by the competent authority available for the consignment? *
- Has the harvest been verified against applicable quotas, closed areas, and IUU vessel lists? *
- For priority species, is the required import data reported and recordkeeping maintained under SIMP? *
Chain of Custody & Traceability
- Is an unbroken chain-of-custody record maintained linking each processing, transshipment, and transfer step to the original catch? *
- Are lot identifiers used to allow traceback from finished product to the harvest event? *
- Are commingling controls in place to prevent mixing of documented and undocumented product? *
Records & Verification
- Are catch documentation and supply-chain records retained for the required retention period? *
- Are records made available to enforcement or auditors upon request? *
- Is the importer of record identified and responsible for maintaining the required documentation? *
