Ventilation Systems
- Is the mechanical ventilation for the vehicle space operating and delivering the required air changes during loading and discharge? *
- Are ventilation fans capable of being stopped from a position outside the space in an emergency? *
- Is an indication provided on the bridge or control station if the required ventilation fails? *
- Enter the number of air changes per hour maintained on the vehicle deck during operations.
Ignition Source Control
- Are vehicle engines shut down and drivers disembarked once vehicles are stowed, except during controlled movement? *
- Is smoking prohibited and are 'No Smoking' notices posted throughout the vehicle spaces? *
- Are the fuel tanks of transported vehicles checked for leaks and connections secured before departure? *
- Are dangerous goods vehicles stowed, segregated, and documented in accordance with the IMDG Code? *

- Is the fixed drencher or deluge water spraying system pressurized and ready for immediate use? *

Boundary and Closure Integrity
- Are fire dampers and remote closures for the vehicle space in working order? *
- Are bow, stern, and side doors closed, secured, and confirmed weathertight before departure? *
