Certification and Documentation
- Is a valid International Air Pollution Prevention (IAPP) Certificate on board with a matching supplement? *
- Is an approved SOx/fuel-change-over procedure (or SEEMP with fuel oil switching) documented and available? *
- Is the ship's technical record of NOx emission control devices and their IAPP supplement consistent with the equipment on board? *
Fuel Oil Sulphur Compliance
- Is the fuel oil sulphur content within the applicable global cap (0.50% m/m) or 0.10% within Emission Control Areas? *
- Are Bunker Delivery Notes (BDNs) retained for 3 years and representative fuel samples retained for 12 months? *
- Where an exhaust gas cleaning system (scrubber) is used as an equivalent, is it approved and continuously monitored? *
- Is the fuel oil changeover log completed with dates, times, positions, and tank quantities on entering/leaving an ECA? *
NOx Emission Control
- Do diesel engines over 130 kW have a valid EIAPP Certificate and NOx Technical File on board? *
- Is the engine's onboard NOx verification (parameter check or record book) maintained consistent with the Technical File? *
- For engines using selective catalytic reduction (SCR) or EGR to meet Tier III in a NOx ECA, is the system operational and its use recorded?
Ozone-Depleting Substances and Other Emissions
- Is an Ozone-Depleting Substances Record Book maintained for refrigerant recharges, top-ups, and disposals? *
- Are shipboard incinerators (where fitted) type-approved and operated within permitted temperature and feed limits? *
- Are volatile organic compound (VOC) management measures applied for applicable tankers?
Energy Efficiency
- Is the ship-specific Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) on board, including the Part III implementation plan where applicable? *
- Is a valid International Energy Efficiency (IEE) Certificate on board for applicable ships? *
- Is fuel consumption data collected and reported under the IMO Data Collection System (DCS) for applicable ships?
