System Type Approval and Backup
- Is the ECDIS type-approved and, where used as the primary means of navigation, supported by an approved backup arrangement? *
- Is the software maintained to the latest approved version (IHO presentation/S-52/S-63 standards)? *
- Is the backup (second ECDIS or approved paper charts) available and current? *
Chart Data and Updates
- Are ENCs for the intended voyage installed, licensed, and updated with the latest corrections? *

Safety Settings and Route
- Are safety depth, safety contour, and safety-related alarms set appropriately for the ship's draught and passage? *
