Dry-Dock and Special Survey Preparation

Planning and Documentation
- Is a dry-dock specification and work list prepared and agreed with the classification society and yard? *
- Is the docking plan, general arrangement, and shell expansion available to the yard? *
- Are the survey status and outstanding class conditions/recommendations listed for close-out? *
- Is the special survey scope (hull, tanks, tail shaft, anchors and chains) defined? *
Tank and Space Preparation
- Are ballast, cargo, and fuel tanks to be surveyed cleaned, gas-freed, and certified safe for entry? *
- Are thickness measurements arranged with an approved firm where required by the survey scope? *
- Are internal spaces staged, ventilated, and lit for safe survey access? *
Underwater and Hull Works
- Is the sea-chest, rudder, propeller, and tail-shaft inspection scope confirmed with class? *
- Are anchors and cables to be ranged, gauged, and re-marked as required? *
- Are hull-coating and cathodic-protection renewal works specified? *

Safety and Yard Controls
- Is a hot-work and permit-to-work regime agreed between ship and yard? *
- Is a fire watch, emergency access, and shore fire-main connection maintained during docking? *
