Certification and Records
- Is an International Anti-Fouling System Certificate held for ships of 400 GT and above? *
- For ships 24 m or more but under 400 GT, is a Declaration on the anti-fouling system carried? *
- Is a Record of Anti-Fouling Systems maintained describing the system applied? *
Prohibited Substances
- Is the anti-fouling system free of organotin compounds acting as biocides (e.g. TBT)? *
- Is the system free of cybutryne, or if previously applied, sealed with a coating that prevents leaching? *
- Are the biocides used in the coating approved and within permitted limits? *
Application and Documentation
- Is the coating manufacturer's technical data sheet and product declaration retained on board? *
- Are hull coating and re-coating dates recorded to support the certificate? *
- Enter the date of the last anti-fouling system application.
