Essential Functions
- Have Mission Essential Functions (MEFs) been identified and prioritized? *
- Has a Business Process Analysis / Business Impact Analysis been completed for essential functions? *
- Are maximum tolerable downtime and recovery time objectives defined for each essential function? *
Orders of Succession & Delegation of Authority
- Are orders of succession established to at least three deep for key leadership positions? *
- Are pre-delegations of authority documented and legally sufficient? *
- Are the conditions and limitations of each delegation clearly stated? *
Continuity Facilities & Communications
- Is at least one alternate/continuity facility identified and capable of supporting essential functions? *
- Are interoperable and redundant continuity communications available at the alternate facility? *
- Are vital records and critical systems accessible from the continuity facility? *
Human Capital & Activation
- Has an emergency relocation group / continuity personnel roster been designated? *
- Are activation and relocation procedures documented with defined decision triggers? *
- Can essential functions be sustained for up to 30 days or until normal operations resume? *
Test, Training & Reconstitution
- Is a multi-year Test, Training, and Exercise (TT&E) program in place for the continuity plan? *
- Are reconstitution procedures to return to normal operations documented? *
