Generator Status & Waste Determination
- Has a hazardous waste determination been made for each waste stream? *
- Is the generator category (VSQG, SQG, or LQG) documented based on monthly quantities? *
- Does the facility have an EPA identification number (SQG/LQG)? *
Container Management
- Are containers kept closed except when adding or removing waste? *
- Are containers marked with the words 'Hazardous Waste' and the hazards of the contents? *
- Are containers in good condition and compatible with the waste stored? *
- Are weekly inspections of container storage areas conducted (LQG)? *
Accumulation Time & Areas
- Is accumulation within limits (LQG 90 days; SQG 180/270 days)? *
- Are accumulation start dates marked on containers? *
- Are satellite accumulation areas at or near the point of generation and under control of the operator? *
Manifest, Training & Contingency
- Is a uniform hazardous waste manifest used for off-site shipments? *
- Are personnel trained on proper waste handling and emergency procedures? *
- Is a contingency plan or basic emergency procedures posted for the storage area? *
