SE Prevention Plan
- Is a written Salmonella Enteritidis prevention plan maintained for each poultry house? *
- Does the plan include all required prevention measures for the flock? *
- Is the plan reviewed and updated when circumstances change? *
Chick Sourcing & Biosecurity
- Are pullets and chicks procured as SE-monitored or raised under SE-monitored conditions? *
- Are biosecurity measures implemented to prevent introduction and transfer of SE? *
- Are visitor and equipment controls in place to limit contamination between houses? *
Rodent & Pest Control
- Is a documented rodent and pest control program implemented for each poultry house? *
- Is a rodent monitoring program (e.g., mechanical traps or index) used to assess effectiveness? *
- Are cleaning and disinfection performed when a house has tested positive and is depopulated? *
Environmental & Egg Testing
- Is environmental testing for SE conducted when the flock is 40 to 45 weeks of age? *
