Plant & Sanitary Facilities
- Is the building constructed and maintained to prevent contamination of water and product-contact surfaces? *
- Are sanitary facilities and controls (hand-washing, sewage, plumbing) adequate and maintained? *
- Are product-water and product-contact surfaces protected from splash, dust, and other contamination? *
Source Water Controls
- Is the source water obtained from an approved source and protected from contamination? *
- Is source water sampled and tested at least once each week for microbiological contamination? *
- Are chemical, physical, and radiological analyses of source water performed at least annually? *
Product Water Treatment
- Is product water treated (e.g., filtration, ozonation, UV) as needed to meet quality standards? *
- Are treatment processes and disinfection controls monitored and recorded? *
- Recorded ozone residual or treatment monitoring value
Container Washing & Filling
- Are containers and closures washed, rinsed, and sanitized before filling, unless single-service? *
- Is the filling operation conducted in a sanitary manner to prevent contamination? *
- Are single-service containers handled and stored to prevent contamination? *
Quality Standards & Records
- Is product water sampled and tested weekly to verify it meets the coliform standard? *
- Does finished bottled water meet the quality standards for bottled water? *
- Are sanitation, source, and product testing records maintained for at least two years? *
