Goal & Scope
- Is the goal of the CFP study, including intended application and audience, documented? *
- Has the functional unit or declared unit been clearly defined? *
- Is the reference flow associated with the functional unit specified? *
- Is the system boundary (cradle-to-grave or cradle-to-gate) defined and justified? *
Life Cycle Inventory
- Have all unit processes within the system boundary been identified and mapped? *
- Are GHG emissions and removals collected for raw materials, manufacturing, distribution, use, and end-of-life? *
- Have cut-off criteria and allocation procedures been documented and applied consistently? *
- Is the source and quality of activity data and emission factors documented? *
Impact Assessment
- Are GHG emissions characterized using a 100-year GWP from a recognized IPCC assessment? *
- Are biogenic carbon emissions and removals accounted for and reported separately? *
- Are land use change (dLUC) emissions assessed and included where applicable? *
- Is aircraft and other radiative forcing addressed or excluded with justification? *
Interpretation & Reporting
- Has a data quality and sensitivity analysis been performed on significant contributors? *
- Is the CFP study report complete, consistent, and transparent for the intended audience? *
- If communicating externally, are product category rules (PCR) or a CFP-PCR applied? *
