Reporting Entity & Scope

  • Has the reporting entity, reporting period, and portfolio boundary been defined consistent with prior years? *
  • Have assets been correctly classified by property type, sector, and geography? *
  • Is the appropriate component set (Management + Performance and/or Development) selected for the entity? *
  • Have GRESB Asset Portal data and the aggregated entity data been reconciled? *

Management Component

  • Are ESG leadership responsibilities assigned at senior management and board level? *
  • Have material ESG issues been identified through a documented materiality process? *
  • Is there a formal ESG risk assessment and stakeholder engagement program? *
  • Have ESG objectives and targets been set and progress reported to stakeholders? *

Performance Component - Data Coverage

  • Is energy consumption data available with adequate coverage of floor area and like-for-like comparison? *
  • Are greenhouse gas emissions reported with Scope 1, 2, and landlord/tenant split where applicable? *
  • Is water consumption data collected and coverage documented? *
  • Are waste data and diversion rates tracked for operational assets? *
  • Is data coverage supported by whole-building, base-building, or estimated data with a documented method? *

Building Certifications & Tenant Engagement

  • Are green building certifications (LEED, BREEAM, etc.) and energy ratings tracked per asset? *
  • Is a tenant engagement or green lease program in place and evidenced? *
  • Have climate-related physical and transition risks been assessed at asset level? *

Development Component & Evidence

  • For entities with development activity, are ESG requirements integrated into design and construction? *
  • Are materials, energy, water, and waste targets applied to major developments and refurbishments? *
  • Has supporting evidence been uploaded and validated for each indicator before submission? *
