Design & Product Compliance
- Does the applied assembly match the listed UL/design number for the required rating? *
- Is the SFRM product approved and within its shelf-life? *
- Are manufacturer application instructions and the approved submittal on site? *
- Is the specified fire-resistance rating identified for each element (columns, beams, deck)? *
Surface Preparation & Conditions
- Is the substrate clean, free of oil, dirt, and loose material for bond? *
- Are primers/coatings on steel compatible with the SFRM per the listing? *
- Are ambient and substrate temperatures within the application range? *
- Are bonding adhesives or mechanical keys provided where required? *
Thickness & Density
- Is average applied thickness verified per the required measurement frequency? *
- Does thickness meet the minimum for the listed design? *
- Is in-place density verified against the manufacturer's minimum? *
- Are deficient areas patched and re-inspected? *
Bond Strength & Documentation
- Is cohesion/adhesion (bond) strength tested per the specified frequency? *
- Is the material adequately protected from damage after application? *
- Are inspection reports and test results documented and submitted? *
