Permits & Approvals
- Is the building permit issued and posted on site? *
- Are all trade permits (electrical, plumbing, mechanical) obtained? *
- Is the approved permit set of drawings available on site? *
- Is the NPDES/stormwater permit coverage in place for sites over 1 acre? *
Contracts & Insurance
- Is the executed prime contract in place with the scope defined? *
- Are certificates of insurance (GL, workers' comp, builder's risk) on file? *
- Are payment and performance bonds secured where required?
- Are subcontractor agreements and insurance verified? *
Safety Program
- Is a site-specific safety plan and job hazard analysis complete? *
- Is a competent person designated for required activities? *
- Are emergency action and first-aid provisions established? *
- Is worker safety orientation scheduled before work begins? *
Site Logistics
- Are temporary utilities (power, water, sanitation) arranged? *
- Is site security, fencing, and access control established? *
- Are erosion and sediment control BMPs installed prior to disturbance? *
- Photo of installed perimeter controls and signage
Utility & Underground Coordination
- Has a one-call / 811 utility locate been completed before excavation? *
- Are existing utility locations marked and documented? *
- Pre-construction survey / dig ticket date
