Readiness & Documentation
- Is the rough-in inspection requested only after all concealed MEP work is complete and before insulation or drywall? *
- Are approved permit sets and current shop drawings available on site? *
- Have prior framing/structural inspections been signed off? *
- Are all penetrations through rated assemblies identified for firestopping review? *
Electrical Rough-In
- Are boxes, conduits, and cabling secured and supported per code? *
- Is box fill within allowable limits for conductor count and size? *
- Are conductors protected from physical damage with proper clearances from framing edges (nail plates)? *
- Are grounding and bonding conductors installed and continuous? *
- Are box heights and locations coordinated with architectural elevations? *
Plumbing Rough-In (DWV & Supply)
- Is the drain, waste, and vent (DWV) system installed with correct slope and pipe sizing? *
- Are cleanouts provided and accessible at required locations? *
- Has the DWV system passed a water or air pressure test? *
- Has the water supply system passed a pressure test? *
- Are pipe supports and hangers spaced correctly for the pipe material? *
Mechanical & Gas Rough-In
- Is ductwork sized, sealed, and supported per the mechanical plans? *
- Are combustion air and equipment clearances maintained? *
- Has fuel gas piping passed the required pressure test? *
- Are dampers (fire/smoke) installed at rated penetrations? *
Sign-Off
- Have all deficiencies been corrected or documented for re-inspection? *
- Photo documentation of concealed rough-in conditions
- Inspector signature and disposition
- Inspection date
