Foundation, Framing & Rough-In Inspection Checklist

Footing & Foundation
- Are footing excavations to the required depth and bearing on undisturbed/compacted soil? *
- Is reinforcing steel sized, spaced, and positioned per plans before pour? *
- Are anchor bolts / hold-downs placed correctly? *
- Is the footing inspection approved before concrete placement? *
- Photo of formwork and reinforcement before pour
Under-Slab & Waterproofing
- Is under-slab plumbing tested and inspected before backfill? *
- Is the vapor barrier and required insulation in place under the slab? *
- Is foundation damp-proofing or waterproofing applied where required? *
Structural Framing
- Do framing members' size, species, and spacing match the approved plans? *
- Are engineered products (I-joists, trusses, LVL) installed per manufacturer specs? *
- Are shear walls, hold-downs, and connectors installed as detailed? *
- Are fireblocking and draftstopping installed? *
MEP Rough-In
- Is electrical rough-in wired, boxed, and grounded per code? *
- Is plumbing DWV and water supply roughed in and pressure/air tested? *
- Is mechanical ductwork and refrigerant/gas piping roughed in and supported? *
- Are penetrations through rated assemblies firestopped? *
Inspection Sign-Off
- Have all rough-in inspections passed before insulation/cover? *
- Are corrections from prior inspections completed and re-inspected? *
- Inspector approval signature
