Written Recall Plan
- Is a written recall plan maintained for products with a hazard requiring a preventive control? *
- Does the plan describe procedures to notify direct consignees? *
- Does the plan describe how to notify the public when necessary to protect health? *
- Does the plan describe how recalled product will be disposed of (destroyed, reprocessed)? *
Recall Team & Contacts
- Is a recall coordinator and cross-functional recall team designated with defined roles? *
- Is an emergency contact list (internal, regulatory, customers, media) current and accessible 24/7? *
- Are FDA Reportable Food Registry submission procedures documented where applicable? *
Classification & Communication
- Are procedures in place to conduct a health hazard evaluation and assign recall class? *
- Are recall strategy elements (depth, public warning, effectiveness checks) defined? *
- Are template recall notification letters and press-release drafts prepared? *
Mock Recall & Effectiveness
- Is a mock recall conducted at least annually covering trace-forward and trace-back? *
